United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

Hi Kot,

You've got me on the edge of my multi-way adjustable seat!

What does N759v2 say? (for those of us without a current Topix subscription) 2017 - L405 SC - WOW! just WOW!
2014 - L405 4.4
2010 - L322 3.6 - Carried me 100,581 miles then broke big-time

There are 10 types of people in this world;
Those that understand binary,
and those that don't.

Same here... took RAC 3 days to get my car recovered from an equestrian yard at the end of a single track road...

Local main dealer the vehicle was recovered to had 'never seen' the issue before... Don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing

I waited 18hrs to be recovered by the RAC, the issue is the size and weight of the Full fat and the fact they need to get a larger recovery truck than for a standard car (What ever one of those is these days!!), which costs them more ££, so we become poor relations on the recovery front. I had to make a song and dance to get recovered at 18hrs and I was told that was quick. I was also told that NFU customers get preferential treatment over standard RAC customers. So I feel your pain

If I'm reading it correctly, it's been extended to 14MY now, and ALL 14+15MY cars are getting 2 new hub carriers without inspection

Affected 16MY cars are still to be inspected for batch numbers and cracks

Hmm - my MY14 is still showing 'No outstanding campaigns'

I don't know whether that's good or bad news......I guess I'll have to keep checking Confused

A massive thank you to everyone on here for sharing all the info and pushing JLR. Seeing the recall has made my month.
I've just sent an email to JLR with all my invoices and chapter and verse, and await reimbursement from them for the work done. Who knows if they will pay up for the recovery costs of £600 in addition?
I will keep you posted.

Crikey, that was an expensive recovery.

Mine was recovered last week and has been sat in exactly the same place in my local dealership ever since... No courtesy car available and no idea when it'll get looked at Sad

Please can someone post a full copy of the N759v2 recall (without the red pen).

I want to take it to my dealership who have told me that they will be working to the original recall document when they inspect my vehicle for damage.

Interestingly, when they called me this morning to inform me that my car was too old for me to have a courtesy / hire car, they also said that they have already ordered both knuckles and that any other damaged parts would be ordered only when inspected Rolling Eyes

The couple of pictures I have seen of newly fitted parts under the recall have had the old nut and bolt fitted, In the WM it clearly states the nut and bolt should not be reused and a new one fitted...

Worth asking, and checking when done... Thumbs Up Pete

Good spot, Pete! Thumbs Up

Here’s the bit from the WM:

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Just about to purchase a 65 plate, checked on the government website, no outstanding recalls. Think I will contact the local dealer

Don’t worry it’s a National recall, it will be covered

Mine is booked in for inspection in a couple of weeks time. They couldn't have been nicer about it. Will see what happens. V8 or else ...
