United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Ipanema Sand

Hi all. I too have just started to have the light come on, about 5 seconds after engine started. It stays on for maybe 1-2 seconds and only on first start of the day and not when hot. Thought maybe dilution (I disturbed throttle housing seal whilst changing to silicone doughnuts and had to do a few mods to reseal following dpf issues, preventative caused me corrective….doh!) but it’s at 4.6 dilution so maybe not? I’ve got a new sensor to fit and not due oil change for a few thou. Might just replace oil and filter anyway and replace sensor whilst at it. Not much out there regarding this fault and only code on car is EGR (EGT) usual one. Just putting out there for the ones collecting fault records. Fingers crossed I’m as lucky as you guys and the above fixes it?

Sure
It's directly under this, mine has started doing it again though. Changed the battery aswell so I'm just going to embrace it as a feature.

If its a split second in the morning I wouldn't stress, if it comes on when hot then I'd burn it.

Is there an 'anti drain back' valve in the system (oil filter housing?) 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Underneath the oil filter is a 'leaf spring' which I think is an anti drain device.
When I did my first oil change mine was loose in the bottom of the housing.
If I remember rightly it sits on a post with 'gripper teeth'.
I think this is why you loosen the filter to lift the 'spring' so the filter can drain.
Worth checking.

It's to the left of the turbo boost solenoid, you'll need to move a few wires to see it.

Just a thought

Has anyone had the oil cooler replaced before this happening?
