Does that include removing the sump for the turbo drain? Also if you remove this plug and drain do you have to prime anything or does it run over from the main sump?

Forget about the turbo drain sump for now - just drain the lot and refill with 8.5-9L to make sure you are not underfilling an engine with a broken level sender. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Lordy, if you took your car into JLR tomorrow for any service, they would only suck the oil out the top and refill with 8-9lrts. So, as above. Don't overthink it for now! Simply suck the rest of the oil out and put 8ltrs back in and then recheck your digital level. This will give you proof your level sensor is working or not sir? |

How is it possible to overfill it by that amount? Who serviced it last? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I haven’t a clue, it was some place in Scotland where the previous owner took it, thanks fully it’s only done a few hundred miles so hopefully hasn’t done any damage and I caught it early. Great example as to why I service all my new cars from scratch again |

Think I would have known of any engine damage already or could it have done damage that hasn’t yet shown? |
