I've been looking for one of these to fit in my centre console for a few months and one popped up on Ebay. Its just arrived in very good condition - I like a bit of 'Retro-Phone-age'

After seeing these fitted by fellow forum member - I think it was Caesium - I fitted these new Horns from Hella. £18 from Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001CC...&psc=1 Removed the plastic retaining clips under the front splash shield in the wheel arch, Headlights, removed the bolt holding the bumper and the bolts that hold it in place along the top front and one below the grill. Gently prized it off and away which allowed enough room to remove the existing Horn bracket and swap over the horns over to the new ones. The connectors were different and I'm not happy with how I've terminated the existing wires so will revisit at some point, but its all I had at the time. They do sound rather good

Just ordered the kit for mine. Will be interesting to see the state of the oil that comes out. 83000 miles on mine now. Previous cars:

Oil change done today. Good call on using rag to prevent loss of plug/Allen key. Bit of a faff getting the pipe as far down into the bottom of the supercharger as possible (had to warm the end of the hose to make more flexible) but managed to get between 175 and 180 ml of oil out. The oil, although it was dark, looked to be in a reasonable condition. Filled up with 180 ml of fresh oil.

I found it difficult but a trick I found was to magnetise the plug before putting it on the end of the 3/16 Allen key - it seemed to hold it enough to get it in place and then turn it gently to start it off. In saying that I still dropped the Allen key down the side Gavin 2005 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 Supercharged V8 Follow my 4.2 Supercharged antics - https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic63354.html https://www.instagram.com/l322_supercharged/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8ChHNSdscnJarKjBLd_IAg |

Got it started with the Allen key but had plenty of attempts to get it into the right position to marry the thread starts up. Good job the missus wasn't there to hear my fruity language. Previous cars:

Last oil and filter change on my SC was back in November 2021 by Land Rover Wimbledon at 79k so it was time to change the oil and filter before winter sets in.

The sump plug drain on these is a nightmare. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put it on the side so it goes everywhere should be shot!

Now the weather is getting better I've started to look at a few little jobs that need doing. Over the weekend I replaced the 3rd brake light as my original was split, not seated properly and letting in water. Not ideal with the amount of rain we have had lately.

Whilst I was up working around the tailgate I decided to remove the tailgate hinges, one at a time, and clean/seal the brackets where they meet the body. I had about 2in of water in the boot a few weeks ago and it needed sorting out.
