I’ve not even driven mine yet since doing all the oils, replacing the front diff and having the rear rebuilt.

What’s really annoying is that I noticed a drop of golden diff oil on the bottom of the newly rebuilt rear diff at the weekend. Won’t be happy if I need to remove it and send it back to them under warranty. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

So, after spending time underneath I decided to give the engine bay a clean up. It was dusty and grubby. A spray over with 50/50 mix of G101 was agitated using detailing brushes in and around all the crevasses, corners etc until it frothed up and lifted the dirt.

I gently rinsed it off with a light spray of water avoiding the MAF and other electrical plugs where possible and dried off with towels. Final stage was a spray of GT-85 to give it some shine and then buffed off -

Best thing to do for the stickers is get in touch with Rob at Duckworths and ask him.

That union that you think should have a pipe on it is blanked off inside with aluminium. It's cast into the housing but doesn't go anywhere I've read somewhere that it's only used on the RRS but have never been near one to confirm.

Door Handles, well covers. Due to the high wax content in the original Door handles they fade and look pretty rubbish over the years so I invested in a Brunel Grey Door Handle Cover Kit from www.PowerfulUK.com Not cheap at £63 (well, since the last time I bought a set anyway) but I think they smarten up the handles & sides.

I’ve got them on mine too.

I replaced mine about 100k miles ago with originals and they still look brand new but those covers look excellent I bout a wing mirror set in Buck blue to match the car after cracking the back case of my passenger one and they look excellent

When I bought the SC the seller sent me pictures of the rear arches down by the sills and of the rear arches by the bumper as they weren't in the advert. I expected to see some rust and they were honest enough to say it had bubbling on the arch of one side too.

That looks a good job

The Headlights on my SC were pretty dire when I bought it. They had a 'greeny', moss like covering and were rough to the touch. This had been picked up on the last few MOT's as an Advisory so I wanted to get them sorted out.

I bought the Holts kit as I'd seen good reviews and the drill attachment for the pads definitely helps with the cleanup - I have tried to clean headlights up before with loose graded paper and water but it never seemed to work to well.

The trick with the kit is to keep the surface wet with a spray bottle of water and not to use the drill at a fast setting - try to see the swirl marks on the headlights as you proceed. Remember these are plastic so don't go mad.

As you can see I removed the headlights to do this so I didn't go near the paintwork. Takes 10 minutes to remove the grille and 3 bolts on each lamp unit.

That welding work looks like a nice result! They've done a good job on that! Once mine is back on the road I'm going to get the cill covers off to get a look under there properly. There's nothing creeping on it yet but am expecting to see it starting I reckon.

That's the same headlight kit I used. The results are great compared to what they are but I'm not entirely happy with the result. I noticed PowerfulUK sell the lenses so am tempted to try them later in the summer once my other spending has stopped.

Yes, I'm really pleased with the welding and it will be an interesting write up when they do the arches.

Headlights - Yes, not perfect by any means but far better than they were.

I've just changed the headlight bulbs to what I was running in my TDV8 from HIDS-Direct D-Lumina - 6000K D3S 35w Xenon Vision HID Xenon Bulb Set (Twin Pack)

I never had any issues with them in 2 years and they produce a nice Diamond White, white/bluish light.

I don't think your spending will every stop David but I feel like I'm running a close second in the Supercharged stakes at the moment  Gavin
