Kristoff, I have put a hard wired connection to the battery like yours. I haven’t yet got it without lifting the bonnet. How have you secured the socket to the grill and do you find the Ctek end cap sufficient to prevent moisture ingress? John

I did much the same on my L405, I used a bicycle outer gear cable and a bit of duct tape to “fish” the wire through from the grille to under the bonnet. I regularly add a smear of silicone grease to the plug after giving it a clean, it helps the cover to pop on more easily.
