Not quite that bad (79k miles), but certainly revs much freer now ,absolutely no hesitation pulling away when I boot it, gets past 2,500 rpm in a flash, with absolutely not a trace of smoke.
I did a 100+ mile each way motorway trip last week and trip computer said 34.7 mpg. for complete journey.
Very pleased.

Mines still not happy with hard acceleration from a complete standstill. Slight delay then it's tries to break my neck!! I have to clean the MAP sensor every few months and it seems a bit smoother.

That sudden shock loading not good for the gearbox at all.

Even less good for the drive shafts/CV's... Replace quite a few where owners turn right or left and 100% "POWER" and bang!!! Big Cry Whistle

Gonna have to get it booked in with you Craig and let you do your magic. Not bothered about more power, just want to make it smoother.

I have had mine mapped out and tuned up, I also have the latest ZF tune and strategies to go with it. This has improved the drivability to another level(it was great before mind you). Very Happy SOLD | Tuned MY 2011.5 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 Orkney Grey | e-diff | ACC

Was your gearbox update a LR version or was it from ZF? When my 3.0 D4's gbox was rebuilt by a ZF authorised repairer the updated ZF firmware was much better than the LR version in reduced TC slip.

I am not sure to be honest, I am told this is the latest firmware for the 8 speed ZF. The gear change sort of glides up and down even wth paddle shift ..love it.

I do have a slop in the rear which I feel when I am bit enthusiastic with my driving Smile Any idea what that could be? As far as I can tell this car has never been off road so maybe a cv or the like SOLD | Tuned MY 2011.5 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 Orkney Grey | e-diff | ACC

Thanks. I had mine's gbox s/w updated to the latest (LR) level some time ago and whilst it was a significant improvement there's room for more. However at least the TC stays locked at slower speeds in 3rd than it did especially if I wait a couple of seconds between releasing brakes and touching the accelerator and I can make it stay locked at even lower revs by changing to command-shift mode using the upshift paddle while slowing into a slow street corner. Engine revs were reduced on quicker take-offs from well over 2000 rpm to around 1800 rpm but there's no need for even those revs with this engine's torque.

Wear of the rear suspension bushes doesn't only occur off the black-top.

The zf didn't feel matched after the engine tune which now does. It feels like it has benefited from the latest l405 developments.

Part Part number
Assembly (F112) Unknown
Assembly (F113) BH42-7000-AG
Calibration (F124) BH42-7J105-HK
Hardware (F111) BH42-14C247-HB = BH42-14C247-HA
Serial 101023700A002163
Signal (F120) BH42-14C389-HB
Strategy (F188) BH42-7J104-HF

The suspension bushing is solid all around (rear cvd need replacing). The slop is more in the driveline, feels like a coupling. Also it is not noticeable on gentle take off. SOLD | Tuned MY 2011.5 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 Orkney Grey | e-diff | ACC
