I've been in contact with a local remapper who is an agent for Viezu Performance Tuning who have 2 tunes for the L322's 4.4, economy and performance. The economy tune brings HP and torque up to about the standard L405 4.4's specs which I'd be happy to have, along with EGR delete. I hope to have the remap done in 2 weeks' time when the person returns from leave, providing I don't learn anything untoward about the Viezu tune in the meantime. |

When you clean plenum chamber, how it looks further inside the intake manifold, not so dirty? Last edited by jaguar3 on 17th Oct 2022 4:06pm. Edited 2 times in total |

I cleaned my Plenum and didn't notice any difference - guess it depends how much it's contaminated. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

When I cleaned mine again several days ago the inlets to the manifolds had some build-up similar to the plenum chamber but I didn't check further with a torch as I couldn't do anythng about it anyway, only being able to clean the inlets themselves. However there wasn't a thick build-up like there was in the plenum when I first cleaned the plenum a few years ago. Perhaps the hotter inlet manifolds prevent build-up. Last week-end I assisted my son replacing an inlet manifold on his TDV6 D4. The TDV6 doesn't have a plenum chamber, just a short Y section behind the throttle body which had a small amount of gunk but it had been cleaned frequently. The inlet manifold didn't have much gunk at all after 290K kms, again indicating that the hotter manifolds seem to stay reasonably clean. |

Maybe the low reving nature of the V8 doesn’t create high airflow speeds through the plenum and allows soot to settle on the large surface area of the plenum? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
