How old are the tyres? Could they have been permanently distorted with it sitting in one place for to long? Even if they are balanced they could still be elliptical. Can you try a different set of wheels?
If my car sits for a week it does this for a short time and they are only a year old.

Tyres were new in November and haven’t done more then 1500 odd miles.

Whilst the car was sat the wheels weren’t on it for a long time as it was on axle stands so I’m kinda hoping it might not be that.

Once I’ve given the car a once over I’ll take it to a place that does road force balancing locally to get them checked I think.

Due to being away for a week, having COVID for a week and being back at work I've still not actually had a look at the vibration. I've been driving at 58 or 60 so that's is perfect!

It is easier not to think about it, currently my E60 M5 is showing 9mpg. At least the L322 displays 20mpg in its land of fictional delusion. 2005 E60 M5

Mine is making some noises and I've been looking for somewhere to get it done.

My diff was rebuilt by D&A Steering in Birmingham. I removed it from the car and sent it to them on a pallet. Turn around time was circa 10 days from memory.

I’m not sure what mine is doing to the gallon but it’s getting through 50p a mile in fuel.

400 miles has cost £200 in premium petrol.

Wtf do you do to that m5 - I drive my m6 same engine 50/50 motorway round town and it shows 18.5mpg and I don’t hang about, I would also say either that’s calibrated down or the ff is calibrated up as that claims 15mpg but I get a much bigger difference than that if I put the same amount of petrol in each tank

The Range Rover has now covered 580 miles since the engine rebuild and it’s still running beautifully.

Had it on the ramp in the workshop this evening for a quick once over. Everything looks nice and dry, engine looks to be free of oil leaks, and everything seems to be as you’d expect it to be

Originally I’d decided I was going to do a 250 mile oil change but pushed it out to 500. I had to use it this weekend with the trailer so it went slightly over 500 too. Anyway, I dropped the old oil out tonight and was gobsmacked!

Great news on the lack of metal bits in there….

Your oil expectations though are a little unrealistic I think…. I would expect the golden oil to be black inside 100 miles. Perfectly normal…
