Oil arrived yesterday Smile

So today's the day ...

Doing a final read of the "instructions", how do you take off the engine cover - looked in the Wiki but couldn't spot anything? What do I put here then?

Park the car on a level surface, open the bonnet and work from the front.
One hand on each side of the engine cover and lift it with a good pull upwards,

Best wishes

Thanks yet again, Mike.

I'd had a look at it and assumed there were hidden bolts or screws. What do I put here then?

So ...

All set to do the oil and filter last night.

Suddenly thought to check the "Oil Dilution" on the GAP IID.

It's showing as 7.4 - estimated or however it words it. Engine wasn't running but assume I can trust the figure.

Which means the car is probably due a proper service.

Or am I wrong? What do I put here then?

It will reset to zero when you use your iid to reset the service indicator.
Yes you are definitely due an oil change. Get it done ASAP.

Thanks, Mike.

I thought they'd altered the dilution percentage to 14 before it triggered the oil change needed. What do I put here then?

It’s in Live values.
Select PCM Engine v8, then
Look down list of available readings and select.

Oil quality fuel dilution factor.
