Sounds like the base unit is detecting overtemperature.
Quite rare but seems to be happening more often lately.

Would advise changing the peltier cell in the base unit.

As this is seemingly happening more often, we will look into importing a batch of cells on their own. (We currently only do the set back as a kit pair)

Ok thanks for that, do you happen to know if the peltier units are the same back and base?

They are the same.
Ducting is different but the cell is the same.

Fixed my driver's seat heating/cooling today by replacing the seatback Peltier unit for a servicable spare from my old TDV8 spares pool (the gift that keeps on giving). My failed Peltier unit had a completely fractured duct, no wonder it wasn't working. If I've understood previous posts here, the broken duct causes the Peltier unit to overheat due to lack of airflow though it, and eventually fail.

Few more jobs on the list:

1. Fit new rear suspension airbags (slight loss of air from the rear, causes compressor to run for a bit on each start)
2. Change transfer case oil
3. Refurb old TDV8 spoiler brake light and swap with unit currently on the SC, which has a couple of failed LEDs.

Exactly right.
Although we have seen an increase in the base cells dying.

For Info: I have just replaced the Peltier Cell in my 11 plate TDV8 in the seat base. I managed to do it without removing the whole assembly from the seat base by just undoing the 4 mini torx screws and the cable ties and pulling the cell cover off. It was a fiddle but much easier than rmoving the seat cushion etc. It can be done!

The symptoms on my icarsoft v3 were a seat blower not working and on the reader the seat base temperature was 205C. When I removed the cell it was covered in a green gunk and clearly dead. I managed to get a replacement cell from ebay from a great guy called Jamie at JNC very reasonably. A very happy customer.

guys, the passenger heated seat on my2010, is not working. Fuses look fine. I only have heated seats.
When i press the button , the light doesnt come on the circular button.

IIDTool gave the following error :
B1038-11 (2f) Front Left Seat Heater Sensor - General Electrical Failure - Circuit short to ground.

Tried to check the connector under the seat briefly, seems ok but will check in detail if i know where to look.

Please advise how to sort this out.

Thanks
