As GraemeS says check intercooler hoses. here is my recent fail and new hose fitted. After I sorted the right side the left one split a week after. You can successfully make a good temporary repair with self-amalgamating hose tape. If you look at my 4th photo, in front of the new hose engine side jubilee clip there is an electrical plug, that is the map sensor. It can easily be removed and cleaned with throttle body cleaner, they can get covered in crud

A HIGH pressure smoke test will examine all your joints, including inlet manifolds which are known to crack. You can't see them by eye. |
