Roof rack

I’m about to bite the bullet and hit a front runner rack and will need to drill the roof rails. Are there any cables running around on either side ?? Any help much appreciated

Hi Simonk, Sorry I don't have an answer regarding the wiring but if you don't mind my asking, what rack set are you looking at? Im looking for a rack for my '06 L322 and want a flat platform for a RTT.
