I’ve broken in my new to me 4.4tdv8 with a 1,200km trip to Morzine. What a wonderful machine to cruise in.

A first run to the Alps in the RR. 750 miles at 18mpg. I’ve done it a few times in a 110 and funnily enough this was a lot more relaxing (ignoring all the things that could go wrong in a P38!) If the forecast is correct then the snow chains will be coming out too, despite the snowflake symbol I’m not convinced Grabber AT3 are much cop in the white stuff.

Going to the mountains: 5 adults, 10 pairs of skis, poles and boots, 2 snowboards + booots, plenty of luggage- no problem for the versatile and comfy L322

I started it up and drove it round the block after many many weeks of it sitting in the garage. First long trip tomorrow in months, sooo looking forward to it. |

Got home after a 1650 trip in the P38. The trip computer says we did 16.5mpg. I had a bulb blow and there is a slight rumble at circa 60mph to sort out (not wheel balancing) but other than that she is fine. Phew. |
