Hi folks, noticed the rear of my sunroof was down 4-5 mm from the roofline, I performed the “reset” as per this thread, placing the roof in the tilt position and then continue to hold the button until the clicks are heard, worked a treat. Thank you to all the guru’s on here who have helped me correct all the minor issues I’ve ever had with this great car. Thank you 👍 |

It's a very simple but very satisfying fix, isn't it?

I’ve joined the many on here who have derived great satisfaction from doing this reset and having a nice flush sunroof. Thanks again for the forum knowledge. Current: Range Rover L322 4.4tdv8, Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 2, BMW 535d Touring, Skoda Fabia, BMW S1000XR |

Since disconnecting my battery my sunroof won't go to the tilt position to do this procedure.

Just bringing this to the top of the pile. Have a look at your sunroof and if it sits a bit low at the back just use this simple reset procedure.

Just randomly glanced at the car whilst I was putting stuff in the outside bin… sunroof looked a bit low at the rear. Had a bit of wind noise on motorway trips recently that wasn’t there before, did the reset and it’s all back flush again. I remembered there was a procedure but couldn’t remember if it was hold up or forward. The up to the tilt position and hold did the trick. Then just fully open then close the roof.

Had this when I first got the car 20months ago and it was an easy fix. Never operated the sunroof since for fear of it not closing again……. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Another big thank you for this, I was getting a crazy amount of wind noise and thinking my last one was much quieter, have had a look at something else on the roof, I noticed the sun roof was sitting 5mm lower than the roof line- that’ll be the reason for the wind noise then!!!
