Thanks JayGee. I did try to have a look under all those hoses and cables but couldn't spot anything.

It's driven by the aux belt so is well hidden. I'm not saying it 'IS' the oil pump but it's a good possibility. Download the workshop manual from the bottom part of the WIKI section

My throttle body to intake manifold gasket was leaking and blowing backward, similar to how yours looks. 3€ and 15 mins to change, did this last week 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Baltic Blue, Jet interior

I suspect a split connecting tube or split seam in the donut.
