That’s not good mate. Mine is the longest I’ve kept a car. They are cracking motors… when they are working….

Feel for you, and it looks like a nice one, but...... you'll get what for it, £2k maybe, so what can you get for circa £6200 plus bits?? F150s are junk. Lightenings too. OK probably reliable but no comfort, quality (actual or perceived feeling of) or that incredible presence.

When I was shopping for an L322 I was looking at 3.6 vs 4.4 and worked out I needed a £5k contingency fund for turbo replacement on the 3.6 and the numbers just didn't add up. Depending on how much life there is in the rest of the car, how long you want to keep it and the state of the used car market it still 'may' be worthwhile fixing it? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

If the rest is pristine I'd be very inclined to fix it. The turbo's are the major issue with these and the rest is just pot luck and no different to any other car of a similar age. I've no idea what your budget is, what you paid for it or what you have spent so far but scrapping it could be more expensive than fixing it in the long run. It's worth 'maybe' £2k scrap if you are lucky but even after spending £4.5k on new turbo's and selling it straight away you may well get more than £2k back in your pocket. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Price will depend on whether quoting for new LR turbos, Orem or rebuilt. Would be worthwhile asking what they are proposing. Then need to decide what you would like fitted. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
