United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Barolo Black

Sorry i disagree i was quoted 8hrs to replace AC compressor on mine. a good friend and mechanic not a LR specialist did the whole lot including discharging and recharging the gas in 4.5hrs he had never done one before.
No need for OEM parts there are good suppliers out there that will do recon units for half that cost. with a ramp dropping the engine and gearbox is straight forward.

CAS sorry i just re-read your post makes sense i guess. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current
2014 Navara V6 - Gone
2004 Vogue TD6 - Gone
Grand Cherokee - Gone
Discovery V8 (LPG) - Gone

Thanks for all your comments.
To try and address some of your points :
The £4K+ quote was indeed £3600 + VAT incl 2 x new turbos.
FOUR other independents simply said they weren’t prepared to take on the job because,
Too much of an A**E of a job when they’re busy anyway.
Would not use recon units (which I suggested) as a case of principle.
Because fear of repercussions from other conditions (debris in motor, excess oil induction).
If someone is willing to give me £2k for it I’d sell and wish them well, they may well get a good motor for a fair price.
