Just back... Was a good drive.
A serious of total BS events including a breakdown of a friend's car who was taking me down, recovery being crap, a £208 taxi journey later.. I picked her up and drove home.

A few niggles to sort out with the dealer/trader tomorrow/Monday but aside from that, was an amazing drive home.

Lovely looking original car. Make sure you lube up the bonnet release latches, they look a bit dry, can stick a bit and put strain on the cable, you do not want that breaking.

Very nice , if I could justify having two, I’d love a last of the line 322, still a fabulous looking motor.

Where did you get it from, how many miles and was it within budget? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Bought it from Lichfield with 130k on the clock - it was just inside my revised budget

Couple of tips;
Buy an IID Gap diagnostic tool.
Book an inspection at a reputable LR specialist ( not main dealer) so you know what you are dealing with. You will likely get a list as long as your arm but hopefully only a few of them will require immediate attention and the rest will be advisories that you can attend to later. Anything big and get the dealer to sort it out. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I've emailed the dealer and told him about the issues; as I'm so far away, he's asked me to get them checked and sorted and he'll cover the costs.

I've emailed a garage I use for my other vehicles; they also do Rolls Royce, Bentleys etc - hopefully they'll have the necessary equipment to check it over and what not. If not, it'll be a small drive to the nearest specialist.
