Distance control for adaptive cruise control? SE and AB only?

And the little elliptical silver bit is probably the column adjustment lever.

Agree with Ron on his comments. Keep looking, yours is out there Thumbs Up Cheers

The switch is to set the distance used by the adaptive cruise control and forward alert.

The knob bit is separate and is just the steering wheel adjustment.

Putting a wanted add in the for sale and wanted sub forum would be a good place to start. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I presume then without that bit, the distance is a preset/default from the factory?

A friend of mine has a few for sale at the moment, not sure if one would suit you, he has sold loads of the L322 since they came out so knows them well - https://www.ccsales.co.uk/

If those toggle switches are not there, the car doesn’t have adaptive cruise control or forward alert. Only normal cruise control.

With the adaptive, you set a speed, as normal, but the car will slow down on its own if it detects something in the preset area and then go back to set speed when all if clear, without you doing anything. Handy on the motorway when someone pulls in front of you.

Lovely cars there but outside of my budget for what I'm after unfortunately.

Och, damnit. I thought it was built in as I'd been looking at one that said it had adaptive cruise control but didn't have those buttons. Sad

Marty,
Hang on in there. I had been seriously looking for an L322 for about six months and found 'my car' had been sold yesterday or
was being collected by its new owner 'as we speak sir'. I had a deposit on 'the one' to be told an hour later the salesman's colleague had completed its sale that morning!

I bought a lovely Orkney grey Vogue after two round trips of 300 miles and 35 miles from home it snapped a drive shaft!
It went back to the dealer on a trailer the next morning. The V5 should show me as its registered keeper for all of an afternoon!!
I have seen ''well-loved' skips on wheels and been told by a dealer that they don't clean cars unless you are REALLY interested in buying!!!

It is frustrating and demoralising but since Feb I have been the owner of an MY 2011 4.4 Vogue in the colour and trim I originally set out to buy all those months ago. I just happened to be the first person to ring up about it. Keep 'em peeled, look on the forum, trawl those websites and if you have a local indy tell them you are on the lookout. Your car IS out there.
Ron Thumbs Up

Thanks Smile

I guess its just the fear of getting a lemon.. Its especially difficult as being up in Edinburgh, most of them are quite a bit south of the border so I can't nip out here and there to see things in the flesh.

I feel your pain, I’m an hour north of you and travelled way down south for my last 2 , Essex & barrow in furness. As soon as you find it, fire a deposit subject to viewing Thumbs Up it’s the only way to do it Thumbs Up

My last 322 needed a new steering rack within 2 weeks of me picking it up, I threatened to drive it through the dealers window but all sorted , then quickly forgotten about Rolling with laughter

I think I've narrowed it down to the one I want from a shortlist of 8.

Do I want to drive it back the 300 odd miles or have it transported is the question!

Is there a way to categorically determine if a car is a genuine autobiography or just a vogue se?

Seems to be completely badged up as an AB but after doing a car check and running the resulting VIN, it's saying it came with a "Vogue SE Sales badge"
