L405 inverter install

Hello All,

I have a 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter i use to charge RC cars / boats Lipo batteries,

Currently in the back of the defender but would like to wire it in for a upcoming trip to Germany,

Anybody done it? tips tricks?

Preferably would wire it into the rear, could run a cable direct from Battery but is there a better option?

A much better alternative is to use a 12v charger for these batteries.

Chargers such as this one will be way more efficient than using an inverter https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/294676/ BMW i3 Electric Car

If you're going to do it, then depending on the size of it, there may be an obvious location -

Im charging big packs and lots of them so have quite a bit more powerful chargers than the above, one boat runs

14s2p usually for 3 mins run time. so 14s 10,000mah... I have one on 12s2p (16,000mah)

my charging setup is designed around a 240v input...

Now i know the battery is in the back, very easy install, it will just be a temp thing so it will be case of running two cables and leaving it loose in the back.

thats the auxiliary battery that is shown in Alistairs pic...you may have one or you may have a capacitor..

your main battery is under the spare wheel. ... - .- -.

As Stan says, the main battery is under the compressor, under the spare wheel - I've got an Andersen connecter permanently wired to mine in case I need to connect it to anything.

There are also hard wired charging posts under the bonnet and I've done the same thing there

So if you don't mind a more temporary, plug in solution, then either of those may be an option.
