United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Thanks guys, rather chuffed with myself if I'm honest. As this is my first ever V8 it's rather daunting finding your way around the engine finding out where everything is compared to the standard 4 cylinder cars and the V6 cosworth I once owned. Next job is a nice big service that's booked in for the end of next week, going to have all the oils changed on everything except the gearbox. Expensive maybe, but piece of mind.

Get the gearbox oil change done as well, unless its just been done, I wouldn't reset adaptations it may lead to issues.

Hey dingg the gearbox was repaired at midland gearbox specialists in October last year by the previous owner at the cost of £2600 so I would imagine the oil was changed back then. The gearbox is as smooth as it should be so thought I would leave it as it's not broke don't fix it type of thing. Unless another change won't do it any harm? What do you think?

Well that lasted less than 24 hours, bong and restricted performance came back on. So my next thought, drivers side inlet manifold. Sprayed window cleaner all over it and low and behold it's foaming like a rabid dog all along the inner lip for about 4 inches.
So tomorrow I'm going to drop it off at bucklands in Gloucester. I'm not going to bother trying to repair it, reading up on the repairs on here they don't seem to last long so I'm just going to bite the bullet and get it replaced. Might as well get it serviced while it's there and the oil leak sorted. I fear this is going to cost me an arm and leg. Anybody have an idea what the cost is for the intake manifold supply and fit?

I replaced mine myself and the manifold was about £350 for the part. I spoke to an indie and they quoted 8 hours labour which came to about £600 if I remember correctly. Not sure it would take 8 hours though if someone knows what they are doing. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

Thought it would be wallet lightningly expensive kbald. I just don't have the time or experience to change it myself so gonna just have to bite the bullet.

I'm confused there Haylands work your reply. Will doing that fix my manifold? Laughing

Eventually picked the car up from the Indy this morning, it drives totally amazing since the new intake manifold has been replaced. Must have been like that for a fair while me thinks. Next job, front and rear subframe bushes and steering rack. Is it an easy job changing the subframe bushes?
