Already done one sill earlier this year. Just put a new tailgate on. In the middle of trying to be a carer for 88 yr old parents, one with dementia, one with cancer. Hence feel I’m not getting enjoyment out of my ffrr, repair to pleasure ratio is heading the wrong way at ever increasing speed.

I dismantled the inside and changed the rear floor carpet. The pre-owner must have spilled something like milk on the carpet. Censored
As a former professional car detailer, I do have a lot of heavy cleaning stuff but no matter what I tried, the terrible smell came back after a while. So, I decided to get rid of the carpet and get a new (used) one. No new ones on the market but found a good used one. Job was done after about 4 houres.

Managed to sync my key remotes for locking/unlocking, using the thread in the Wiki!
I tried last year but my battery was on its way out.
I replaced the battery last month and gave it another go.
Both keys synced and working!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2005 FFRR SC Java Black with Overfinch Exhaust (UK)

Mine decided the water pump wanted to spring a leak.... So seen as its coming off decided to throw a new pump on anyways. Turns out the reason fir the leak, it didn't even have a gasket in situ. Only took 3 hours to swap. Hardest part the viscous fan as my ex decided to take the locking bar for the fan

Replaced the clear supercharged rear lights with smoked lights and replaced the overfinch lettering from Chrome to gloss black.

A while back I bought some black wheelnuts from eBay and after a few months they've gone rusty;

Now, we all know that rusty nuts aren't a good thing so I ordered 20 Genuine LR ones from Cam-Tech-Craig and managed to dodge the showers today to fit them;

Looks much better. (Yes, the pics show different wheels. They happen to be the best pics!)

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Nuffing - as it's been raining!!!

Sheep

95% emptied water from R O S light cluster, dried, clear silicone re-sealed, will re-fit cluster tomorrow. Second new start/stop switch ordered from bay of e (first was a Chinese non-worker so got money refunded and they said I can keep the cheap item... maybe a strip down at some point and see why no worky worky) supposed to be genuine LR/RR part at £62.00 (we'll see - fingers crossed) will have to get the stiff plectrums again to fit... No screw-drivers for me... Shocked

Fitted a new pair of Stabilus upper tailgate gas struts to my 2010 Vogue. Fed up with the tailgate slowly going up and my neighbour (night shift), fed up with it slamming shut! Now lifts majestically and lowers slowly with a gentle thunk!
BTW thanks to a cock-up (mine) on the ordering front I have an unopened boxed pair of Stabilus tailgate struts for a Range Rover SPORT (2005-13)! Yours for £20 and a covid-safe pick up (no hugging) 15 minutes from M1 Jct 16. PM me.
Also, waited for a gap in the rain to fit new front wiper blades - and found the dreaded broken clips! Now waiting for arrival of a pair of new clips.
Happy Days!
Ron Thumbs Up
