Sam, having watched your vids including your latest one, can I make a suggestion? Instead of making some gastly spare wheel holder for the rear! It would be far easier to cut the spare wheel well out and fabricate a central well (for the original compressor) weld in a flat floor and mount the spare wheel underneath a la Discovery 3 & 4... |

I forgot to mention this, but one of the first things I did was the replace that rear accelerometer in the spare wheel well with a good used one - to no avail - however it might be worth revisiting. I know there are two more at the front, but they don't seem to be as easy to get to. Any ideas here?
I've not managed to do much more diagnostic work on it unfortunately, as my last couple of weekends have been taken up entirely with filming and editing a new project I might do an IID tool data log of a few bits - maybe height sensor voltage, plus damper current. I'll post it here so you guys can take a look. Any other suggestions of what to log? Thanks all! |

Hmm... sounds like a decent idea, I'm just trying to picture if it would work. Wouldn't it be dropping down where the exhaust & back box sit currently? Also, I've always hated how you can see the spare wheel hanging down underneath the RRS / D3/D4 from behind. It probably isn't as much of a hindrance off-road as it looks though. |

I don't think the IID can log damper current, it's been discussed on here before IIRC. I'm looking at building something that'll log x,y,z forces and damper current, but just haven't had the time recently. Ah I see. I can definitely log it using SDD, so that's a bit annoying they haven't implemented that in IID.

I'd honestly think this functionality was available on the IID, I mean my old Nanocom can do it for a TD5!

I have watched your vids and commented in the past as i have the same rear end harhsness issue, I really think the subframe busshes must be replaced ... if you think about it your shocks and suspension bushes can be as good as they want to be but the whole rear end they atatch too goes to the rest of the car via those four bushes except for the top of the struts right... (the 4 bushes known to be flogged at higher k's) ... so its just crazy not changing them

The L322 definitely has headlight levelling if fitted with xenon’s, that despite also having self levelling suspension. When the driver’s side rear height sensor rod became detached on my 2002 FF, the Xenon's were pointing at the sky using their self levelling motors. Static levelling is done by the air suspension but headlamps that turn also level during hard braking and hard acceleration. |

So the cause of the hard riding issue may have shown itself today!
