United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zambezi Silver

Managed to get one rear arch liner out, and the sill cover moved out of the way enough to have a good look. I had bad feelings about rusty holes in my new to me 2009. The sill cover can't be easily removed fully as I have fixed steps, but pulled it away enough.

No holes and all rust is surface/superficial, will Krust, Hammerite and Waxoil. Photo looks worse than it is. Arches themselves are good.

Started mine up after 2 weeks in hospital with covid19 yayyyyyy.

Started it up first turn, sat in it till the blowers started blowing warm air then took it for a drive. No surprises thrown up thankfully

Off work for a while as I work as a paramedic so can't be going back 75% fit. Few scary moments in hospital but on the whole recovering fairly well thanks mate.

Checked for oil leak on the back of the oil cooler. Looks like it has already been repaired as there was no fresh oil around at all + there was evidence of a historic oil leak but no one cleaned up. So thick gunky stiff around the seals of the Pollen filter where it meets the car intakes. so it looks like this was where the smell came from. (It was very faint and only after a long drive).
so i have cleaned everything up we will see how it fares.

Also fitted some bling mainly projector puddle lamps in the doors will see what they look like tonight and post a pic. bit of fun really. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current
