Be sure to keep an eye on the coolant.

If the oil cooler gasket lets go, you can find oil in the coolant and vice-versa.

BAD NEWS!!





Thought I just had the job of torquing the bolt to correct setting once amazon had delivered my new 1/4" torque wrench (only had a 1/2 torque wrench which doesn't go as low as 10Nm) then clean up.
New torque wrench arrived and low and behold the bolt will not tighten - seems the thread is stripped. (not on the bolt, but on the hole!)

So now the quandary, do I use some method to make good the thread or do I replace the oil cooler.

Going with ordering a new oil cooler as going to have to remove anyway to make thread good. Might then refurb the old as a spare.

Brilliant thread, some really good pictures and explanation!

I’ve noticed mine has the tell tale signs that the oil cooler gasket is leaking, so will replace this and tube in the back.

That link for the oil cooler says product not found, has anyone got another link?
