Is your "Apple connector" a genuine Apple cable? Not all cables are equal, unfortunately, the genuine Apple cable should provide analog and usb audio out, which should, theoretically work with the land rover iPod cable. ** EDIT ** As per the video posted above, there's a suggestion a voltage converter is needed too... Kind of surprised with the need for the voltage converter, that's a new one on me but his video shows it working so, that kind of trumps everything I can't see that the Bovee does anything that doesn't do, it just does it wirelessly. Potentially less audio quality over the bluetooth link too, theoretically the cabled link will have the potential to sound better. The Bovee still needs the Land Rover to 30-pin cable. As per the video, no reason why you can't stream music from Apple Music or Spotify with either solutions. |

I just received these items, and it doesn't work. It sees the phone and that comes up on the screen, the phone charges, but it says "device error". I did some Googling and it turns out that there is a software clash between these cars and the modern Apple software and/or the iPhone 8. However, it seems the USB socket I use for charging that is next to the iPod socket can also be used as an input, and using a genuine Apple lead it gives the same device error. So I am back to square one. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black 2018 D300 SE Velar in champagne 1982 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit in green Spiffing wheel centre caps, L322 sill repair panels, etc |

Yes, it looks like the Bovee thing is the way to go. But I am concerned from the Amazon reviews that 8% of them seem to conk out after two months. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

Hmm, on the Spanish Amazon page where I bought mine (shows all reviews though), there's no mention of that... https://www.amazon.es/Airdual-Interfaz-Ada...07RMHVJ6P/

Only the iPod socket can handle the protocol. There is no way the normal USB does that.
