If you have the SC you should have the aux socket - I use a Bluetooth device connected through this .. 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

i have a phone connection in the cubby box is that what you mean? Or is it something different? I do have an Aux socket in the rear but didn’t want a cable coming from the back if I could help it. |

The only non surgical way on you model year is as Stan said the aux in socket in the back and a Bluetooth dongle on the end, then tuck them into the cubby and you don’t se it. The other way is the LR iPod kit, but these are expensive and require some disassembly of the dash for fitting. Check in the front glove boxes to see if you have something fitted. There may be something a previous owner has done.

Well after extensive testing I can confirm that the non genuine 30pin adapter doesn't work and I have been listening to downloaded Spotify playlists for the last few weeks with no problem using the genuine lead - no need for Bovee which is a shame because I wanted to mess about with one.

I've just picked up my 2010 model SC AB today (very nice!) and need to get the sounds sorted. Amazing that JLR didn't incorporate Bluetooth playback in a car like this, but hey.

Hmm, I was trying to avoid adding too much extra hardware Stan, as I understand it the Bovee option is basically a Bluetooth dongle which you "lose" in the cubby? |

Well, I bought a used cable from eBay which works, but doesn't charge. This is plugged into an old iPhone 4 with no SIM, just using it as an iPod or hotspotting off my iPhone 8 for Spotify, so no Apple adaptor lead involved as the iPhone 4 has the old style connector. Should it be charging? I'm wondering now whether the cable is a genuine JLR item; I thought it was. |
