Took a bootload of old electrical equipment to the local 'recycling centre' or tip as I used to call it when I was a lad!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

Fitted new Tailgate seal (from Rob at Duckworths)

I hadn't dared to remove old one until the new one arrived just in case I made it worse, this is what I found, all 4 corners showing signs of rust, the picture is of the top right corner. No wonder it leaked.
But I couldn't see where the water was going, all I know is that it showed at the body panel seam under where the wheel chocks are stored.

So I now need it to rain! Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

Installed new rear view camera, unfortunately it didn't work, reinstalled old one and that didn't work!

Yep like an idiot I had connected the power the wrong way round and blew the fuse. (on the upgrade kit the connector is not keyed)
The real problem is where is the fuse, my handbook is incorrect and the icons on the fuse boxes didn't seem to show a camera, finally found the fuse marked with an Audio icon of which there are several.
Ran out of time so will refit new camera tomorrow.

De-rusting continues, other side isn't as bad/caught in time. New distration arrived in the form of the new 502 style wheels N tyres. 🤓

Fitted these big heavy Censored today with the help of my apprentice/son Jake. He was massively hung-over and seemed to think he should be lying in bed drinking IRN BRU, not grappling with big heavy LR wheels. Nonsense I retorted. You can sleep when your dead, get that wheel on! 🙃

Took it in turn to bleed the brakes as the wheel came off. Front left, front right, rear left, rear right. Brake fluid was skank so overdue a change. Look at the shiny!

Did a bit of a temporary repair on the rear bumper. It's not perfect but it's a little better. Will get the bumper off and do a full sand/respray at some point

Had the aircon regassed... again! Had it done 2 weeks ago but after working for a few days it got all warm again. TBF they regassed it for free and pressure tested it, although he did then say that his machine was Censored .

We shall see.
