On early models, there was a single beige relay behind the main battery.

Thanks Steve. I've replaced both the relays now and they still park in random positions. When I tap the motor they try to move - so I've ordered a 2nd hand motor. Thanks again |

I've got the same issue with the windscreen wipers parking in the wrong position - was it the motor on yours Simon?

It is almost certainly the motor. Any model year fits and £30 on ebay should find you one (LR new are £250 and 2 months lead time)

Just done it - 20 mins and the most difficult part was getting the bonnet strut spring back in after putting it in service mode.
