As a local runaround/spare car we have a 2014 Renault Twingo Mk3. At it's last service it had a new O/S coil spring and tyre. When we got it back there was a vibration when braking at 60MPH similar to what I would expect with a warped disc but quite subtle. I have since changed the discs and pads and noticed while doing these that the O/S shock was leaking quite badly and the dust cover was split in several areas. Why the Renault garage didn't mention this is beyond me, especially as they had the shock off to change the spring. So I have now changed both front shocks and fitted new dust covers. When braking though from 60MPH I still have the vibration, taking a bit more notice this time I realised that the vibration isn't felt through the steering wheel, more through the floor. Is it possible that the new tyre could cause this. I have checked and can see the red dot is opposite the tyre valve so would appear to me at least that it has been fitted properly. There are no bulges obvious on either side of the tyre. I have had a tyre in the past sound like a worn wheel bearing but not experienced vibration from one, especially a new one. I should mention that at lower speeds (30, 40) there is no vibration and no vibration at speeds above these until the brakes are applied. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

Swap the wheels around, diagonally?

Calipers are fine, neither are sticking.

Cannot swap tyres front to rear as they are different sizes 165 front 185 rear 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

Could be lots of things relating to the suspension or steering. Track-rod arms and bushes would be my next port of call if you are happy to have discounted the discs/pads from being the culprit.

If you have access to a ramp or pit, would be worth getting underneath with a pry-bar and doing the old 'Ed China' bit by testing for play in anything at the front. Current

Gave the Twingo a wash this morning and had a good look round again just to see if I missed anything and I noticed that the Renault dealer have put the wrong size tyre on, so I now have one at 185/60/R15 and a correct tyre at 165/65/R15

I would have thought that if you can feel the vibration through the floor and not the steering wheel then your problem may be coming from the rear and not the front 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
