So I have used AutoScout to look at similar cars in Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. It seems that Germany is about €20,000 cheaper than all of them. I will let you know what the salesman comes back with. |

I remember from living in the Netherlands that that had to do with the luxury tax cars attract. Which is still there when selling secondhand but can’t be reclaimed as a foreign national, yet still has to be paid as a Netherlands citizen when buying even secondhand in another country. |

Hi Luxmoggy, as you are paying the advertised price, as opposed to asking for a discount, I'd ask the dealer to add the steps free of charge. After all, you are paying a top price and they will get the steps at cost. If they really want a sale, they should agree to that I reckon.

You could always order steps yourself. I’ve purchased and installed a kit from China On an L405 that looks and functions like OEM for around 1k shipped. Install is a bit of a pain but you’ll be saving several thousand you can negotiate with. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Salesman senses that you are a sucker. You should be able to get 10-20% off the initial listing price. It takes some patience, though. Check out some other cars and see where a deal can be made. |

Checkout: https://home.mobile.de/SPORTWAGEN-MUNDHENKE#des_301145573 he has fantastic deals - this is a V8 diesel costs new 148K now for 108K with 7.700 KMs. Also, if you want a new build, I can get you 16% discount on that. German dealers don't seem to give a lot of discounts, they advertise what they want to get for the car and maybe give you 1.000 discount to give something. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

10 or 20% is huge! Sales man do not see you as sucker this mindset needs to change. They have their job on the line so they will want to make a deal. They will be sweating it.

Not a pic deployed at the moment but here they are installed. Looks factory. They are made to be jacked from. There is a little lip on the underside of the bracket/mounts. Solution for this is one of those hard plastic pucks with the raised rectangle that goes up inside the jack points on Certain cars...and cut a groove in it which fits the lip on the bracket. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC 2008 FFRR (sold) 2008 BMW M5 |
