Have you got head up display? I’m pretty sure that needs a specific windscreen type. |

I'm sure others with L405's can be more specific but my general advice is to take a picture of the symbols etched into the existing screen and insist that the new one matches when you book it in.

When Autoglass did mine, I specified Pilkington on the initial call - they called back to say it would take a few days extra to source one of those - I told them I was fine to wait & have the right one fitted. |

I had to replace mine two weeks after I bought it new in 2018. I used Autoglass and they were excellent. I insisted it had to be a Genuine LR screen. Cost me £50. All LR cars from 1984

All booked in for Thursday with Autoglass. I have insisted on Pilkington so fingers crossed.

If you can take it to them all the better. Last few screens I’ve had done were done at the depots. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Autoglass haven’t had depots in the UK for many (5+?) years now - it’s all van based. Or rather when my 405 screen was replaced last year, van x2 as it’s a two man job for that car. 2016 SDV8 AB |

When my windscreen had a chip repair about two years ago it was at an Autoglass depot. I was told that they had got rid of all the depots and then regretted it, so there were now some again. So you might be lucky and be able to go to a depot, much better IMHO, especially for a bigger and more complex screen like on the RR, and also generally if there is dust/grit blowing around outside, it is raining etc. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

They would only do it at a depot, had a choice of 3. Under normal circumstances would have chosen the one near the RAF museum in Hendon and wandered around there for a few hours |
