There is a bit of a hole in the power delivery low down, which seems to relate to it being fitted with a single turbo. Try the twin turbo SDV6 in the D4, or the SDV8 in the RR and you’ll probably notice a big difference. Coming from an SDV6, I noticed it straight away although, if I’d never had one before, I may never have thought much of it.

I'm sure I watched a youtube video where a chap was having his L405 tuned by DMS but stated the same problem you have"slow away" and the owner of DMS mentioned that as part of their package they tweak the gearbox software to remove this issue. Apparently RR have built this in to increase the "wafting" effect of the car (not great if you've got a car planted in your drivers door). Would definitely be worth a call, the guy who was having his car tuned said he would have paid the money just for the gearbox mod...... Current FF Westminster 4.4 V8 |

I added a PedalBox and it eliminated the hesitation in throttle response - especially at roundabouts etc 2017 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 (with e-diff)

Could you try Sand mode on terrain response on some roundabout exits in case that is enough? It would save the cost, telling your insurers about the modification etc if it did work. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |
