Just to update this, both of the filling stations with LPG on my route to work are 85.9p/litre! Sad

How much is their petrol?

Petrol is 129.9, Diesel is 137.9

Cost me £73 to fill up a diesel golf!

Is there a trend with LPG prices, or are they just being increased so they're cheaper than petrol?

65p here in derbyshire

paid £2200 for Prins VSI Multipoint (i would only recommend this system though) back in 2009 <-- i was paying 28p then Big Cry

V5 is changed by DVLA to say Alternative fuel this nets you 10% off tax and no LCC

i normally get 180-250 in mine u will also need to spend £20 on petrol a month as well though to start the RR

if you have an iphone get the app LPGFinder shows all nearest lpg places its also free Smile

There are other phones this sort of thing is available on, or built in to the NAV.

Honestly, you would think the iPhone invented the "app".

I would probably go for the TD6 straight off if it weren't for the gearbox weakness, however if i have to spend 2 grand having it if it fails I may as well have spent that on fuel in the V8! How does the TD6 run on biodiesel if anyone uses it?

The other LPG place on my route back is 79p, J22 M1 services

Is is possible to add additional tanks on the L322? I have only read about conversions with a spare wheel well tank

I'll get on LPGfinder, iPhone really is the way forward!

The ZF in the V8's is not known to be absolutely bulletproof either.

Gawd, the fuel prices sound horrendous. I thought we were bad off paying €1.30/L for diesel (petrol is €1.45+). I'm going to fill up to the brim right before getting on the ferry in Calais next week.

Not bulletproof but a whole lot better by all accounts

It's really bad that diesel is more expensive than petrol in the UK. My (possibly incorrect) guess is it's something to do with lots of people buying diesel cars, but also possibly because the transport industry runs on diesel, and lots of it = more tax!

There will be a natural limit which is found at some point soon, I'm assuming around £1.50/litre demand will start to fall as people just can't afford it. Excellent time to buy a big uneconomical car, but not such a good time to run one!

Yeah it's a shame, although without common rail no one would buy diesels any more!
