Repeated squeaks after shutting down [Solved]

When I step out of the car after stopping (ignition off), I can hear repeated squeaks from the engine bay. The noise is is like a drive belt slip, but repeats as if something is being wound up. The number of squeaks is pretty much constant at 5-7 before stopping (depends how fast I get out of the car).

Any thoughts? 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

I believe that the EGR valves do some post shutdown work out.

And the turbo actuators cycling, helps stop them from seizing up.

Interesting. I know I have one EGR that's started to struggle a bit. Maybe thats the one making noise. They are blocked, but not yet mapped out.
The RH turbo actuator I've checked, and it moves freely without any resistance/noise. The LH actuator I've not been able to reach. 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

The time to worry is when they stop squeaking. Land Rover Addict

Very common, mine does same, as do a lot of others. Might even be a standard feature Very Happy

Strange. Don't like weird noises under the hood. Always an ominous sign 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

Well, then it's confirmed. It's the EGRs (one, or both) which makes this noise. The graph shows both Turbo actuators and EGRs. The EGR curve coincides with the noise frequency.
One can also conclude (1) EGR is the faulty one, as it's got far less movement than the other one (See scale on the left).
