Check out the prices for a BMW x5 3.0d filter, Thats what I did and got it much cheaper. The correct spec oil can be found much cheaper, Mine was about 20 pounds for 4 litres, I used about 7. think it was Penrite brand.

Cheapest look a like I could find for 7045E @ £5.80 per litre

think I payed £80 delivered for my kit off ebay , came with oil , filter gasket and new sump bolts |

I have got the oil texamatic 7045 so thats good , its the filter im after the L/R dealer offered the Bearmach one said the L/R were discontinued, so they must be fitting them what do you think, anyone used them with good results cheers |

the gearbox is fine no issues yet. 156k miles original box not bad i should leave it alone |

The price s of parts over here is crazy i paid 18 euro for a rear wishbone nut and bolt. 350 euro for G/B filter and 6 lts oil, it would break the bank if you left it with them to change it. |
