Hi all, living in rip off Ireland am going to change the gearbox oil rang around 3 land rover dealers for 6 lts of texmatic 7045e g/b oil and a filter, Quoted me 212 euro for the oil, 138 for filter 340 all in, and said the filter is discontinued they can supply a BEARMACH one for 50 Question is i can get the BRITPART filter for 17 land rover for 76. on line. I have sorted the oil elsewhere for 110 has anyone used the britpart or bearmach filters i know the original is best for 76 +vat. th main dealer offered the bearmach so they must be good, what do you think thanks all.

Check out the prices for a BMW x5 3.0d filter, Thats what I did and got it much cheaper. The correct spec oil can be found much cheaper, Mine was about 20 pounds for 4 litres, I used about 7. think it was Penrite brand.

can't find a value filter .

think I payed £80 delivered for my kit off ebay , came with oil , filter gasket and new sump bolts

I have got the oil texamatic 7045 so thats good , its the filter im after the L/R dealer offered the Bearmach one said the L/R were discontinued, so they must be fitting them what do you think, anyone used them with good results cheers

the gearbox is fine no issues yet. 156k miles original box not bad i should leave it alone

The price s of parts over here is crazy i paid 18 euro for a rear wishbone nut and bolt. 350 euro for G/B filter and 6 lts oil, it would break the bank if you left it with them to change it.
