Just pull off the black plastic bung and attach the drain tube... right next to the oil filler cap.

Twist it first then pull it off , I always drain the turbo return every year as there's a very slight possibility of sludge build up causing poor oil flow through turbos, (if it can't get out it can't get in ).

Simply prise out the outlet bung ( with the suction tube in the top ) with a screwdriver and you will see it is moulded in the shape of a spout, so just put a tundish into your empty 5 litre containers and pour it in Thumbs Up

Start with 8L and then top up as indicated on sensor using the tips in this thread. I had to take mine back to garage tonight to have excess dropped as it was reading overfilled after an oil change. We dropped 2 litres then topped up as indicated on the dash. About 1L to bring to a normal level. Will be double checking cold tomorrow morning Thumbs Up
Background: Usual guy that works on my motors was stuck on MOTs but I texted him this evening and met me back at the garage after hours and we dropped the excess. Now that is top service Thumbs Up He was less than amused at his colleague’s error Censored

This morning I read it cold and it said to add 0.5L. When warm it was one notch above middle line. Added 0.3L and it’s gone up one notch. Check again tomorrow.

They are a bit pricey Rob, but , compared to MD prices for an oil service , it will soon pay dividends.
I actually really enjoy doing as much servicing as I can, and at least I know it has got the right spec oil in.

Where do folks get their oil from? Advanced do 5L Ravenol for £42. There is cheaper but seems reasonable to me plus I get free delivery via their local delivery van Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Dr Rob you need to use Shell Helix AF-L
Note the L which is important

You just missed on a mega deal, have a look in the bargain spots section
Maybe they'll get some more in
. Cheers, Greg

Rob,
Follow Greg’s advice and go for Shell AF-L.
In -excess have still got it in 1litre containers, but stress only AF-L.... nothing else Thumbs Up
