Scotland 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Well over the weekend rather than today, oil and filter change and back bumper off to fix a rear parking sensor fault. As I'd guessed, the spare sensor I had in the toolbox from my old D3 is identical. Now have silence when I select reverse! 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

The camera doesn’t lie, Rolling with laughter
Each frame is time stamped.
I love working on it , especially on lovely warm sunny days., it keeps me young Thumbs Up

How JLR justify their charges is beyond me., and my son’s secretary brought me out a cup of coffee.

Agree with the work on a sunny day. I'm sitting here looking at the old girl and thinking, what's next to enjoy. And it's not about the wife Mr. Green

So far I'm lucky enough to have avoided JLR charges Whistle Cheers

Picked up a set of new take off style 502’s with 255/55/20 Pirelli Scorpions for £600 and swopped over my old wheels. IMHO they not just a subtle change to the appearance of the car but the ride is so different. Perfect for wafting around. Now a happy bunny.

First weekend with my L322 so opportunity to do a couple of things.

Adjusted the standard height slightly as it look a little strange and rolled a little more than I like in corners. Used the IID tool to drop the front by 10mm and the back a tiny bit.

Looks a lot better and is slightly firmer to drive now - I'll run it like that for a bit a see how it is.

Also, door handles were a little tired so I bought a set of body coloured covers from PowerfulUK and fitted them..

Fitted a new piston ring in air compressor, fitted a new gasket in the fuel pump module as the previous owner missed it out when he replaced the fuel pump meaning I lost about 20 litres of fuel when i first filled it

And then set about finding the cause of my non functioning suspension. It turned out to be the arm rod from the suspension arm having come detatched from the arm that rotaes the poition sensor due to corrosion.

I shoved it back in its clevis and cable tied around it to see if it would then function correctly whic it does!

So i just need a new sensor. I was worried it was a bust bag but evidently not!

What I have learnt last week...

A. Spare keys for the RR are not cheap, nor are brake pads.

B. The car has been checked over by excellent independent-all is good apart from said brake pads.

C. When fishing-you can go anywhere on the beat and an 8'6" fly rod can go into the car long- wise without being split up-ready to fish as soon as you arrive. When travelling a couple of miles down the river you can drive safely in your light weight chest waders and studded wading boots-wouldn't fancy the two hour drive from London to the river mind you.

D. Warranties are expensive.

E. Westminsters look great when washed-or even when covered in mud.

Here endeth the lesson.....

If you upgrade to the new style key , it will cost you avout 40stg and can be reprogrammed with an iid tool in 2 mins. You would also need to get the physical key cut. 2015 4.4 AB

Replaced the front struts, lower arms and ball joints, rear air bags and shocks. Drives like a new car. Compressor seems a bit tired too but works. Came across a website which should sort that, www.X8R.co.uk. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Today I change the EAS pump, oh my, what a difference, I cant believe it goes up so quick now LOL.

I killed the old one limping back from Northern Ireland with a leaking air bag.

I bought the replacement from eBay, identical in every way to the AMK unit fitted.
