Don’t be fooled by the use of gaffer tape, or the good lady’s gardening glove this is a professional job. ![]() ![]() Access was a tight, defo Xmas list for the ratchet tool nino-nino & taken onboard the use of a set of ramps.

Thought I could shortcut the bespoke fan pulley spanner with a well-placed breaker bar or pry bar but to no avail. Found out the hard way was being too smart for my own good, So have succumbed to its purchase & will look into knuckle replacement on the NHS!!
Looking at the state of the old tensioner the spring casing is badly cracked so was probably independently planning its own spectacular war out.
Will update further once the fan pulley tool arrives and daylight permits, but probably next weekend, & the big put back together ![]() |

I made my own holding tool and use crescent wrench to undo the bolt, it is LH thread
