I find it works very well on my car. Not sluggish at all and rock solid. I find I tend to use the LR sat nav as I can have it on the drivers display. I have used Waze which is good but not so nice to look at. I like the messaging system because it reads out messages and you can answer with speech. |

I do love Waze, but agree that it doesn't quite look the part, especially in the new big screens. The Range Rover sat nav actually looks pretty good and it's then easy to navigate to other screens etc. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

Have you had the latest software updates loaded into your car?

I'd have thought I had the latest software given I've only just picked up the car, but perhaps not. How do I tell? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

You should definitely have it on your car I would have thought.

Whats the oldest our cars can be to accept the 18D upgrade, I'm assuming 65 plate with this infotainment is way too old?

2017 model year was the first to be fitted with the new infotainment system, so you're just out of luck I'm afraid. |

Should be an icon or window in Settings so you can check the software version I would have thought.

Got my phev back now having had charging issues sorted again and had the latest infotainment upgrades done too including apple car play and android auto. I have to say (and hope I won’t regret this) the upgrades have massively improved the user experience. Both car play and auto work quickly and consistently and wazes works very well on both, into the car screens and voice controls. I have both iPhone and android (personal and work) and plug them both in to usb sockets which seamlessly enables switching between both. That is pretty impressive. |

For mine the menu doesnt appear to be the same, going into the Nav settings doesnt give me any options to see what software level Im at, I assume this is hidden menu stuff on the older cars, anyone know what buttons I press on this particular version of the infotainment please?

I love Waze, but I've not been using it on the Range Rover because I like the integrated functionality of the RR system - you can see directions in the HUD, the kids can see the directions / map on the screens in the back.

IIRC the only thing you can easily check is the map version. To do this you need to go into the diagnostic screen, see this thread. Your head unit is known as the IAM 2.1 Level 3 it was fitted to the RRS and late D4 and certain Jag models as well. There are most likely no updates for the base software of your infotainment system and no functionality to be gained from them if there are. |
