MY17 - My18 infotainment upgrade

I'm sure I've heard somewhere that the MY17 infotainment can be upgraded to the MY2018 is this true?

If so how and where, and has anyone done this?

I doubt it - isn't some of the functionality moved onto the bottom screen in MY18, so that would mean replacing the console.

Considering that no one outside of Land Rover and their advertising agencies seem to have got their hands on the face-lifted car yet, I can't imagine how anyone would have been able to diagnose that the systems are interchangeable.

Also, with Land Rover having intentionally made sure that face-lifted parts aren't interchangeable on the outside, there's no reason to believe that the changes are anything other than so heavily embedded into the electrical architecture of the care that any such change would be virtually impossible.

It seems JLR are tailoring to the car. I currently have infotainment software version 18B and I understand 18C will be out later this month.

My car was built Apr 17

To check what software;, launch Navigation, then Settings - Navigation settings - App version.
That's it. You should be able to check software version for your infotainment system

Just had a look.

It says the map version is 2017C but nothing about the whole infotainment system

I'd have been with Red Merle on this one - I guess as they've had so many MY17's rejected, they've had to continue development of the software.....
