Gave the old girl a wash (including the roof) which was largely pointless but made me feel better.




The. Operation maintenance was initiated:





- new front disks/pads/clips/pins and wear sensor. (No more squeaky brakes!!).





- engine oil and filter.

- air filter (half a cornfield in the air box- had to hoover it out).

- MAF clean (started and stopped a few mornings ago).

- supercharger oil (easy but still a t**t with big hands - oil was grim).

- thermostat (I swore, a lot - now warms up quick and stays at operating temp).





- wipers (I can seeeeee).

- GPS receiver - didn’t have time. Job for the summer.

Swopped out the aux heating motor, cabin warms up nice and quick and I can control the heat drivers side no matter what the engine revs are

Added some subtle bling...

Completely justified I feel, to finally get rid of the very annoying rattle of decayed baffles in the drivers side exhaust. It also makes something of the fairly boring straight pipes fitted as standard Thumbs Up

MOT today, passed (always a relief) but advisories on front and rear brake pipes (had the fore/aft longitudinals on the near side replaced a few years ago). Also nearside rear lower bush noted as being worn although play not excessive. I'll get these sorted when weather a bit kinder and bank balance recovered a bit Confused
Whilst a service was getting done, the thread on the sump drain got stripped so had to have a helicoil repair done.
I'll look to get one of those locking drain plugs fitted next time oil due a change.
Only done 8000 miles in the last couple of years Shocked Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Finally, removed the injectors from my TD6 and sent them off to be refurbished.
Three came out quite easily, two not so much, and the last *7%$!!

Removed because I had a misfire, which was obvious when I removed the engine covers and injector No5 was covered in a black tar substance!

As an added bonus my DPF soot level got a good burn... 19.9 when I set off, 2.7g back home Thumbs Up
