A gearbox oil change is not included in the Land Rover Service Schedule - according to them it's sealed for life. It's "only" the gearbox designer / manufacturer who recommend oil changes ! I should have said get all ecu fault codes read by someone & be sure the gearbox is working generslly ok before organising the oil change.

I am purchasing an IID tool off of Dan, will that be of any use to check for Gearbox codes.

My gearbox oil change was not without its trials and tribulations. 4.7 litres out, and, eventually, 5.5 litres back in !

No issue, no leaks, probably didn't need doing....the one in there was fine, nothing as bad as the one in RRPhil's picture

The mechatronic sleeve only seems to leak after the car has been stood unused for three or four days. If you use the car regularly you may never notice or care. I guess that's because the oil gradually moves from the torque converter to the sump over an extended period, eventually filling it to the level of the sleeve. |

I drained with the oil temp at @ 40 degrees
