good job on the google drive, just downloaded it, thanks

I have pdf creator free on my PC, i think this is the link http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator

If you are in chrome , click the top right little dots and go to print, then select pdf as your printer
There may be easier ways now like copy and pasting into word and then save as PDF

Meerbusch, you may know more about this than i
when i tried to remove the vanos assembly, the piston came out of it housing
apparently this is not supposed to happen, it is supposed to go back in its original position
which now is lost
if this makes any difference I don’t know RR 2005 4.4 petrol

Today I did one of the vanos hubs
The one I lost the timing on
It was quiet simple really, I am real pleased with it.
The next one will be a lot quicker, and by the time I do another one, I will have forgot how to do it.
It says to tighten the press bolt to 100ft/lb then give it one full turn with a 24” ½” drive bar
It would be interesting to know what the men are made of in there part of the world but I needed a 4ft bar with a ¾ drive socket
But all went well RR 2005 4.4 petrol

I just about managed mine with a 2 ft breaker bar but originally used the 4 ft bar. The piston position which says to keep it in position doesn't actually matter when i asked Rajaie from beisan.

Good effort mate, mines ok, just contemplating removing the exhaust to weld one of the cats and a support bracket, apart from that all seems ok, that's on my 4.4. The TD6 i was tinkering with has gone back to the owner and he seems to be using it ok Smile
