Second that - its becoming more and more standard practice particularly when the buyer is in a different country. Very easy these days for scammers to receive their items and then attempt to process a chargeback on the card to dispute payment which takes a lot of time for sellers to resolve - providing this information protects the seller from that. That company is not the best, they advertise as being in the uk and use the .co.uk website and also uk phone numbers but they are actually in Germany as you found out, well i think they are.
i have ordered from them in the past by mistake and ended up cancelling but you may be ok.
