The Conti wipers I bought have lasted just over two years.
They still wipe ok, but the drivers side rubber is splitting near the RH bottom edge.
So, I have just bought another set.
A small price to pay not to have to put up with the annoying clunk and the wipers work very well indeed.

Old thread, but “Continental Direct” have no connection with Continental the German tyre etc. manufacturer (whose IP department they have surely come to the attention of) - they just source and brand cheap parts from elsewhere. Believe these wipers are made by Bremen.

Aero wipers( beware)

Just a warning when fitting the Aero blades keep hold of the plastic bits that have to be removed when fitting.

I fitted Aero blades 6-8 months ago and have both failed, They have not been used with ice on the screen, and without warning they both failed at the same time, that was on the weekend so no chance to get some new ones off the shelf, Had to wait until Monday and go to my local LR spend £4:60 each for plastic clips to be able to go back to the old style blades off the shelf.
I could not wait for some to be sent by post as I needed the car with all this snow about so keep the plastic bits in the car?

Longman

I bought those and they work really well. The rear one they supply is just a standard one.

I've tried the Boltonbits and HQ blades from ebay. Both have been great to begin with but started knocking after a few months. Currently on three month old HQ ones and so far so good. Haven't tried the AF (site sponsor) ones as they were out of stock previously. They're currently in stock for £17.71 plus £4.95 postage.

I also checked my angle of dangle (thanks to Stan for the image of a protractor which I cut to 86 degrees following suggestion from Craig). Looks spot on so that doesn't look like the cause of the previous thump. 2012 5.0L S/C

Bought a set from one of the suppliers mentioned and one blade simply failed to clear the screen - near side one only wiped about half it's length. Had to buy Bosh one in the end but on fitting the Aero's both clips disintegrated so bit of a disaster really Sad

I bought some Aero's last year, during the recent icy spell one of mine shredded. Got a pair of replacements from my local screwfix for 12 quid the pair, slight faff with the fitment but all's well.

When I removed the original standard wiper blades to fit a pair of the newer flat 'aero' blades, both original blade clips broke apart. they were very brittle.

I find the newer flat 'aero' blades don't last very long, I've got through two sets in a year. So, if I wanted to re-install some standard wiper blades are these the complete replacement clips set I need please?
