Idle speed is too low - vibration won't be doing the engine any good either.

My idles at 680 rpm, steady and no vibracion. I do use 1/2 L of 2T oil every fourth tank of fuel. I think you would be pleasantly surprised by the difference a bit of 2T oil makes. |

Blimey is your Diesel so poor quality you need to add oil to it? I'd be very careful adding oil to a modern Diesel in case it ruins the DPF or any of the other emmission systems and results in fault codes/ the engine management light coming on, reduced performances and significant repair costs.
