That is absolutely correct, and from what I can see the go directly into the plates. As soon as my replacement arrives, I’m going to break it open. 😁 |

Millerj90i was hoping to hot wire mine into working with an external thermistor, and use the whole assembly to heat the air in my biltong drying box! But I was a little over enthusiastic with the tear down 2006 RR sport HSE

This got me to thinking - again dangerous - a thermistor is just a heat sensitive resistor so if the value of the resistance was known for a given heat the thermistor could simply be replaced with a resistor in line for a fixed heat setting. Geoff |

Has anyone tried swapping the peltior unit from the squab into the seat back to see if it resolves the non heating problem without spending £260 on a new back module (heater and fan unit )?. |

Unfortunately the pettier cell in the back has the thermistors in, and the squab has none as the back unit controls the pair! 2006 RR sport HSE

Are you sure as looking at my underseat one it has the same 4 wires (2 green , 1 blue and 1 yellow) going into it as the one in the seat back ? Surely as it's a separate unit it will need the same type of temp control to stop any overheating . |

Not yet. Weather has not been conducive to ripping the seat out. But it does make a whole lot of sense |
